Both delayed posttraumatic intracerebral hemorrhage and epidural hematoma have been well described in the neurosurgical literatures. However, delayed posttraumatic acute subdural hematoma which
happens more than a week with a rapid progress after mild traumatic brain injury and causes death of patient is rarely reported. We show two such cases and briefly review the literature and discuss the probable pathogenesis of their rapid progress. |
